What inspired us?
Our team was inspired to create a decentralized ticket platform because we saw the flaws in the current ticketing industry. High ticket fees, long waiting times, and the prevalence of fraud are major issues that we wanted to address. We saw the potential for blockchain technology to revolutionize the industry by providing a secure, transparent, and decentralized solution.
What we learned?
Through building this project, we learned a lot about the Polygon blockchain network and how to integrate it with our platform. We also gained valuable experience working with MetaMask and implementing secure authentication. Additionally, we learned about the challenges of building a decentralized platform, such as ensuring that transactions are fast and reliable.
How we built our project?
We built our project using a combination of web development technologies, including React for the front-end, Nest.js for the back-end, and Solidity for the smart contracts. We also used the Polygon blockchain network to handle transactions and ensure the security of our platform. We integrated MetaMask for user authentication and utilized various APIs for additional functionality.
The challenges we faced?
One of the biggest challenges we faced was ensuring that transactions on our platform were fast and reliable, as slow transactions could lead to a poor user experience. We also had to ensure the security of our platform and prevent fraud. Additionally, working with decentralized technology presented its own unique challenges, such as handling errors and ensuring that our code was compatible with the Polygon blockchain network. Last but not least, we wanted to create a minimalist and easy UI/UX experience.
