Inspiration

Our inspiration was the experience of attempting to buy tickets.

What it does

Ticket-Rex facilitates buying tickets while simultaneously preventing bots from buying them.

How we built it

We built Ticket-Rex using Github and Visual Studio Code. Ticket-Rex is made up of HTML and CSS. Much of Ticket-Rex's design can be attributed to a collaboration between Merith's drawing skills and Adobe Photoshop.

Challenges we ran into

Unfortunately, we ran into a plethora of challenges. We had problems with our logo, given copyright laws, so one of our members had to draw it by hand, even though she, as well as the rest of us, was not an artist. Next, one of our members had to go to the hospital. They were no longer able to further contribute to the project. The remaining members had to pick the project up, but neither were proficient in the programming language that the other members began the project in. Our biggest challenge yet was the fact that throughout the development of Ticket-Rex, we realized that the idea was above our skillset.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we went out of our comfort zone and did not give up.

What we learned

We learned how to work together and adapt to the problems at hand. We increased our lines of communication, and we helped each other out in any way we could.

What's next for Ticket-Rex

We hope to further the development of our website (and potentially a future mobile application) by expanding our knowledge and expertise to put this idea more into motion.
