Inspiration

Our inspiration for building Thunderhood comes from a desire to make the world of memecoins accessible, fun, and safe for everyone. We saw an opportunity to remove barriers, like technical complexity and risk of rug-pulls, that have kept many from participating fully in the memecoin space. By leveraging AI and NEAR’s chain abstraction capabilities, we’ve built a platform where anyone can launch their own token in under a minute and trade with confidence, without worrying about the underlying blockchain complexities. Decentralization and community-driven creativity are at the heart of Thunderhood, and we’re passionate about fostering that energy.

What it does

Thunderhood prevents rugs by making sure that all created tokens are safe. Each coin launched on Thunderhood is a fair launch with no presale and no team allocation.

  • Unruggable Once the generated token is deployed, the liquidity pool (LP) is permanently locked. This means neither the creators nor the users can add or withdraw funds from the LP.
  • Instant Launch Pick a name, an image, total supply, and USDC/NEAR deposited into the pool. Then, user just click "Launch Now" and now the user have created their own personalized token!
  • Instant Trade To enhance your experience, we've designed the UI to align with your trading habits and latest technology on NEAR. Now you can easily find your favorite coins for trading instantly via Thunderhood without chain awareness thanks to chain abstraction from NEAR.

How we built it

Thunderhood was built by an OG team on NEAR, leveraging our deep experience within the ecosystem. We utilized NEAR's chain abstraction to simplify blockchain interactions, enabling seamless, permissionless token creation and trading. With strong support from the NEAR Foundation, we’ve focused on building a decentralized and accessible platform for everyone.

Challenges we ran into

  • Ensuring mass adoption while maintaining the balance between ease of use and decentralization.
  • Educating users about the benefits of unruggable memecoins and building trust in AI-powered platforms can also be hurdles.
  • Memecoin space is highly competitive and fast-moving, staying ahead with innovation and keeping the platform secure and scalable will be ongoing challenges

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Launching Thunderhood's testnet, which marked a significant milestone in bringing our vision to life.
  • Created the Thunderhood OG group, forming a tight-knit community of early supporters.
  • Gathered strong support from many KOLs in the NEAR ecosystem, helping us build credibility and excitement around the platform.

What we learned

  • The importance of community in driving innovation and adoption. Engaging with users early through the Thunderhood OG group and working with KOLs on NEAR has shown us the power of collaboration.
  • Realized that simplifying complex processes, like launching and trading memecoins, can open doors for a much broader audience.
  • Accessibility and decentralization are key to building long-term trust in the memecoin space.

What's next for Thunderhood

  • Launching our mainnet to bring Thunderhood to a wider audience.
  • Making the memecoin wave on NEAR accessible to everyone, with a safe and user-friendly experience enabled by NEAR's chain abstraction.
  • Introducing our protocol token to further enhance the platform and empower users in decentralized token launching.
