ThumbsUp - Use ThumbsUp to ShowUp

Inspiration

We were motivated to help and serve our GSU student community.

ThumbsUp is a rideshare app that prioritizes student's safety.

We used the platform bubble.io to develop the application.

Some challenges include linking the maps through API, sending text messages to 'friends,' and allowing payment transactions.

Some features we accomplished are adding and saving to a friends list and sending a notification email to your added friends.

We learned how to navigate and design in the bubble.io platform. Further, we also learned the advanced tools like API plugins.

Our next goal is to launch the app and advertise to GSU students.

Corroborating with the team will oversee technology for the project and research various ways of implementing bubble.io into the project. Additionally, document the process of choosing what digital resources will be used and work with the project manager on implementing the ideas of the team into the final project.

I worked on the backend of the development. I, with collaboration with my team members learned to use Bubble.io and devised the skeleton of the app.
