We wanted to solve a common problem for YouTube creators: creating professional, attention-grabbing thumbnails takes time, design skills, and often multiple tools. ThumbforgeYT was inspired by the idea of making high-quality thumbnail creation as simple as writing a prompt.
What it does
ThumbforgeYT is an AI-powered YouTube thumbnail generator that allows creators to generate eye-catching thumbnail concepts from simple prompts. It helps reduce design time while making professional-looking visuals accessible to everyone.
How we built it
We built ThumbforgeYT with a modern web stack and AI-powered image generation. The platform combines a simple, creator-focused interface with AI to transform text prompts into engaging thumbnail designs.
Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenges was generating thumbnails that were not only visually appealing but also suitable for YouTube. We had to focus on composition, readable text, strong visual hierarchy, and designs that could capture attention at small sizes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
