Inspiration

We were driven by a desire to add some ease, fun and efficiency to a mentally and emotionally heavy process.

What it does

ThriveHive is a web based app that gives users the power to crowdsource and easily access information regarding affordable healthcare, foodbanks, shelters and other essential needs and services

How we built it

We developed ThriveHive using 8thwall's XR development platform in conjunction with Bezi for additional prototyping

Challenges we ran into

Getting the real-world location data into the platform while testing

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Finalizing user flow
• Getting a meaningful foundation of the application completed
• Learning to build with 8thwall on the fly and having it work

What we learned

We learned a lot about just how many Americans make use of what the govt dubs the Social Safety Net (approx 99.1 million or 30% of the population). We also learned that

We want to expand the features of the app, start exploring institutions and company partnerships and explore possible integrations.
