Inspiration: My son, who has autism, is my inspiration for this project. As the mother of a child with autism, I realized the gap in adequate services available for him. Transition support is one of those services.
What it does: This digital tool will provide transition support services to children and teens with autism.
How we built it: We are currently in the ideation phase.
Challenges we ran into: To date, we have not run into any challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Crystallizing our idea and developing a draft concept to begin the development of our MVP.
What we learned: The biggest lesson learned to date is that understanding the needs and desires of the consumer base is essential.
What's next for Thrive Above the Spectrum: we will be working to obtain funding in order to continue conducting market research to ensure problem-solution fit. Then we will begin working to develop our MVP.
