Thriftmatch was inspired by a simple observation, fashion moves quickly but many good outfits are left unused in people,s closets, at the same time students and young people often want to experiment with their style without spending too much money. we wanted to connect these two main problems instead of treating pre loved fashion as simply buying and selling used clothes. we wanted to make it feel more personal , social and engaging. the idea was to create a platform where users could discover affordable and pre loved pieces, find items that match their style and get inspiration on how to wear them. our motivation was to combine sustainability, affordability and personal expression into one frame that lead to "thriftmatch" - a platform designed to make second hand fashion feel less like a compromise and more like a way to discover something unique.
