Inspiration
The Nintendo Switch, crazy cooperation in general.
What it does
Threeway Freeway pits three friends (or strangers!) in a constantly changing feat of peril, in which rules and roles change by the beat. The goal is to survive as long as possible and maybe lose your minds in the process.
How we built it
We used the Godot game engine.
Challenges we ran into
Originally planned as an online multiplayer web game, we quickly realized programming the networking was way out of our scope and time constraints. Accordingly, we downsized to a local multiplayer game played on the keyboard.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was our group's first time developing any project with the Godot engine. We not only finished the game but learned a lot about this engine. This knowledge will surely prove useful in the future.
What we learned
We learned GDScript, scenes, tree node structures, physics, and many other things Godot.
What's next for Threeway Freeway
We will have a lot of fun playing it and showing it to friends and family. We encourage you to play as well. In the future, we may port or extend the base game.
