Inspiration
Three Suns was inspired after we saw raw, unfiltered footage of children inside cancer hospitals in India — moments that revealed how deeply they long for simple companionship. A gentle conversation, a few minutes of play, or just someone sitting beside them brought a brightness that felt immense compared to their fragile world. Those small, heartfelt interactions became the emotional foundation of this film: how even a brief friendship can leave a lifelong light.
What it does
Three Suns tells the story of a young volunteer and a child cancer patient who connect through imagination and art. The film uses AI visuals to express childhood innocence, memory, and loss in a gentle, uplifting way. It brings awareness to the emotional world of children in hospitals and highlights how small acts of kindness can change a life.oes
How we built it
Produced by Capital Films LLC In Association with Esha Bargate Productions Directed by Mansoor Qureshi Co-Produced by Esha Bargate Productions AI film conceived & edited by Aun Ul Haider
We created the visuals using Google Veo 3, guided by the story and emotional direction provided by our production house. Music was sourced and licensed from Envato Elements to match the film’s sensitive tone. Although I’m a non-technical creator, I shaped the narrative, visual intention, and emotional arc while collaborating closely with our director and AI editor.
Challenges we ran into
AI frame continuity: Keeping characters, environments, and lighting consistent across long sequences was difficult. Sensitive themes: Portraying childhood illness respectfully without making the film heavy required careful creative choices. Non-technical workflow: As a non-technical producer, I had to rely on strong communication and clear storytelling direction to guide the technical process smoothly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Turning a deeply emotional, human story into a visually meaningful AI short film. Successfully collaborating between technical and non-technical team members. Maintaining a gentle, hopeful tone while addressing sensitive themes. Creating a film that resonates with audiences on compassion, memory, and kindness.
What we learned
AI filmmaking is possible without technical experience when there is strong vision and teamwork. Emotional storytelling still requires human sensitivity — AI is a tool, not the heart of the story. Clear communication between creative and technical teams is essential for a smooth workflow. Short stories rooted in real experience can create powerful emotional impact.
What's next for Three Suns
We plan to: Submit Three Suns to international film festivals Expand the film into a longer AI-assisted project or short anthology Develop behind-the-scenes content on AI filmmaking Partner with children’s hospitals and organizations to use the film for awareness Continue exploring heart-centered, socially meaningful AI-driven storytelling
