Story Behind the Project....

The idea for Cyber Threat Scanner came from observing how frequently people fall victim to phishing emails, fake job offers, fraudulent SMS messages, and social engineering scams. Despite advancements in technology, many users still struggle to identify malicious communications because cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and convincing. While studying cybersecurity and modern cyber threats, I realized that most people interact daily with emails, messaging apps, and social media platforms without having an easy way to verify whether a message is legitimate or dangerous. A single click on a malicious link can lead to financial loss, identity theft, or data compromise. To address this problem, I developed Cyber Threat Scanner—an AI-powered platform that helps users analyze suspicious messages from multiple communication channels. The system acts as a digital security assistant, automatically detecting threat indicators, assessing risk levels, and providing security recommendations.

Purpose of the Project.... The primary purpose of this project is to improve cybersecurity awareness and help users make safer decisions online. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing, the system can identify phishing attempts, social engineering attacks, business email compromise, romance scams, and other cyber threats before they cause harm. The goal is not only to detect threats but also to educate users about online risks and contribute to a safer digital environment.
