Inspiration we attended a Null Ahemdabad chapter last month and there was a talk of Kushlendra Singh on the IDS and IPS which inspired us on working on this project.
What it does
When a hacker attacks the system, the first point of contact will be the honeypot.
This will trigger an alert that informs the system's owner via SMS or WhatsApp message, providing them with valuable information about the attack and allowing them to take proactive measures to prevent further damage.
How we built it
generally we used virtual machine as honeypot for external network and esp32 as honeypot for internal network In the end we integrated it with twilio api in order to receive alert messages
Challenges we ran into ESP Node 32 and a Raspberry Pi integration with our code, as we were facing a little misconfiguration while we were
Accomplishments that we're proud of we integrated the ESP Node 32 and our code successfully along side with the Raspberry Pi integration with the both components. A huge thanks to Ritvi Didi for helping us out on each and every doubt we were facing during our development.
What we learned about the hardware programming and the integration with the different services and API's in our code.
What's next for Threat This Fall
we'll be using raspberry pi as honeypot which will make this process more secure and isolated.
