Thread

Thread started from a problem I personally experienced while doing part-time audit and accounting work alongside my engineering degree. I spent hours checking multiple Excel sheets, CSVs, PDFs, reports, emails, and accounting records just to verify whether the data matched and find where mistakes had happened.

That experience inspired us to imagine an AI agent that could connect all these scattered sources, investigate mismatches, trace the source of an error, and help teams resolve it much faster.

For this hackathon, we built the frontend prototype to demonstrate this idea and designed the complete workflow of how the agent would think, investigate, and assist a human. The biggest challenge was turning a real-world manual process into a simple, intuitive product experience while keeping humans in control of important financial decisions.
