Inspiration
I was inspired by the past games I've made in PICO-8 as well as many bullet-storm games.
What it does
A game to play by yourself or with a friend where you dodge many lasers for as long as you can.
How we built it
The game was programmed in PICO-8. Some art made in Aseprite.
Challenges I ran into
I hoped to be able to include a lot more projectiles and obstacles for the player to dodge but didn't have enough time to incorporate them all in a way that wasn't fun or ruined with bugs and glitches.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm very happy to see the game turn out the way it did. Halfway through I was unsure if I could have a complete product in time. I'm also proud of the main menu.
What we learned
Set clear goals for what game mechanics and gameplay features are going to be made and make sure to compare with my current skillset to make sure I'm capable of completing them.
What's next for Thomas Sybert Game Jamathon Project
I aim to keep working on other small game projects like this one to improve my skills as well as work and collaborate in groups next time.
