Inspiration

I live in a quite a dark place, and usually write pretty dark stuff - that makes it easy to forget how much beauty there is out there in the world, even if it is not meant for me. This video is my self-reminder that life is not always agony and strife.

What it does

Everything in our life will pass. We don't know if there will be a tomorrow for us and what will it bring for us. But here and now, we exist, able to create magnificent things, observe the beauty of life, and enjoy those special moments, the ones that bring us joy and create core memories. Small or big, it does not matter - it is all about the feelings that you experience when living through this moment. And this is a song about that - bright moments in life.

How we built it

With love, and great AI tools. I started by creating the song on the theme I wanted to speak about. Then I proceeded with trying to imagine moments in life of people filled with passion, and various strong feelings. After that I tried to figure out which part of the song they would fit the most - maybe reflect some part of the lyrics, maybe just go well with the flow, or interact with adjusted segments. Then I animated it, and assembled together.

Challenges we ran into

I spent a whole day generating an underwater scene to get more or less realistic movement... Also, I had to make changes to the script on the fly, since weird censorship refused to make certain scenes for unknown reasons - for example, I wanted to make a scene where a couple jumps from the waterfall to the lake, but I had to replace it with skydiving instead.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The quality of the animation and how I managed to portray so many various cool moments of people's lives. My favorite contrast, probably, is the hyper-excited drummer that releases his rage while playing, changed by the serene scene of a man sitting relaxed in beautiful mountains where his ancestors once lived, and smoking a pipe while enjoying the calm, showing how people find joy in opposite feelings.

What we learned

To hate life a bit less. And to be better with AI tools.

What's next for This moment

I wish I could show it to the people, so maybe this video could be a bright moment for them. But I am not good at all at sharing things in the internet, I can unpload them on Youtube but don't know where to post them so people would see. Maybe you can help?
