Inspiration

Our realization that mental health surveys are typically so specific that it makes poeople who know for a fact something is wrong feel as if they should be completely fine even though they aren't

What it does

An app where users enter in their feelings / mental health symptoms, and it assembles a plan to help them improve their mental health (without diagnosing them, just saying that "these things have been proven to help users with your symptoms"). After the first assessment, the app also asks users if they have been acting on that plan and which parts they like / dislike, and the app can improve on that feedback. This feedback will modify the plan accordingly, and help users feel better over time. However, if the user still just wants to use it one time, they can and it will still help them.

How we built it

With JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Repl.it.

Challenges we ran into

None of use knew a lot about web development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we managed to implement a frontend that randomly pulls question from a bank.

What we learned

We should settle on a language and project everyone is comfortable with.

What's next for Think Positive

We are hoping to include an algorithm that adapts which questions show up based on previous answers, more mental conditions, and maybe integrate better advice for our users, and have our advice include pulling information on meal planning and weather, in order to facilitate the previously given advice
