Thimble

Inspiration: The impetus for starting THIMBLE was experiencing the terror and betrayal as I held my daughter during her first vaccine. Today 24% of adults and 66% of children experience needle fear and anxiety. That same fear stops millions from participating in other forms of essential care, including preventative immunizations, early disease detection, blood donation, and life-saving treatments. We take care of needle pain so you can take care of your health.

What it does: We're building a comprehensive platform of pain and anxiety reducing products for common needle procedures. At the core is the patent pending Thimble patch which is used before the poke to prevent the pain. The patch is paired with an app which conveniently combines all the research-backed, drug-free, proven methods to help lower anxiety and mitigate pain.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We built a functioning game and we are dangerously close to releasing the app that aims to help kids ages 5-11 and their grown-ups.
