Inspiration
Single-cab trucks are rarely offered in higher trim levels by manufacturers, leaving owners with limited options for personalization. Thewconverts solves this by delivering high-end, genuine OEM parts and factory-style conversion kits.
Our inspiration for this platform was to create a digital experience that perfectly mirrors the experience of how one would feel after getting their car detailed. The website is sleek, fast, highly responsive, and dripping with premium automotive textures like carbon weaves and brushed metal.
What it does
Thewconverts LLC Website is a lightning-fast website that serves as the primary storefront, educational hub, and visual portfolio for the business. It allows users to browse an inventory of custom wiring harnesses and high-trim conversion kits, view process walkthroughs, read dynamic FAQs, and contact engineers for custom builds. Above all, it features an interactive gallery and high-impact hero video segments to seamlessly showcase live customer transformations.
How we built it
We engineered the platform using React and Vite for maximum modern performance. The entire design system was crafted from scratch using Tailwind CSS.
To hit the exact aesthetic requirements, we extended the Tailwind configuration with custom variables, responsive staggered keyframe animations (fadeInUp), and a complex interconnected theme framework. Navigation routing was handled cleanly with React Router, ensuring that transitioning from the Shop to the Gallery feels instantaneous, avoiding the standard jarring page loads of legacy web design.
Challenges we ran into
One of our major challenges was Instagram connection. Without an API from the owner of the account himself we did our best to replicate how we wanted to feature posts on the website. Achieving sufficient contrast over heavily textured backgrounds (like brushed metal and carbon-fiber geometry) in both modes required meticulous color-mapping logic.
We also ran into technical hurdles seamlessly recreating native Instagram-style carousels directly inside the React DOM from scratch, ones that were complete with pagination dots, sliding arrows, and video components.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are incredibly proud of the sheer visual polish and raw performance of the finalized SPA. The typography scaling, the fluid .mp4 video-loop handling inside the hero, and the subtle, cascading load-in animations all combine to create a genuine "wow" factor upon entry. We successfully transformed static mockups into a breathing, highly interactive web ecosystem that feels undeniably premium.
What we learned
Building this application deeply reinforced best practices in translating complex, custom UI designs into functional, reusable React components. We learned how to stretch Tailwind CSS far beyond standard utility classes by injecting custom keyframe animations and variables to create a lightweight, hardware-accelerated user experience without needing heavy external animation libraries like Framer Motion.
What's next for Thewconverts LLC Website
The immediate next phase involves connecting the frontend to the Instagram Basic Display API, allowing our native component architecture to auto-sync with live feed updates in real-time. Following that, we plan on integrating a dedicated Headless API (like standard Shopify or Stripe logic) to natively manage the checkout processes for specific custom parts directly through the Shop.jsx ecosystem.
