Inspiration

The inspiration for ThetaCreator came from the need to empower content creators with a seamless platform to upload, monetize, and share their content directly with their audience. We wanted to leverage ThetaEdgeCloud's robust infrastructure to provide a decentralized solution for content distribution and monetization, enabling creators to maintain control over their work while engaging with their subscribers in a secure and efficient manner.

What it does

ThetaCreator is a mobile app that enables content creators to easily upload their content to ThetaEdgeCloud, monetize it, and offer exclusive content to their subscribers. The app also functions as a wallet, allowing users to interact seamlessly with the platform, manage their subscriptions, and access premium content from their favorite creators.

How we built it

We built ThetaCreator using React Native for cross-platform mobile development, ensuring a smooth user experience on both iOS and Android devices. The app integrates with ThetaEdgeCloud for content storage and delivery, and incorporates an TNT20 token-based subscription model for monetization. The backend is powered by smart contracts written in Solidity, ensuring secure and transparent transactions. Off-chain data is handled by NestJS service.

Challenges we ran into

One of the significant challenges we faced was integrating StudioPlayer with React Native, as it wasn't quite friendly with the framework. However, we've already devised a solution and know how to implement the React Native integration successfully.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a seamless user experience for both content creators and subscribers, leveraging decentralized technology to empower creators and protect their content. Successfully integrating ThetaEdgeCloud with our mobile app and developing a robust subscription model are also notable achievements.

What's next for ThetaCreator

The next step for ThetaCreator is to fully implement the DRM player, ensuring secure content delivery and protection for creators. We aim to bring the app to a production-ready state, providing a comprehensive solution for content creators to monetize their work and engage with their audience securely.
