The Inspiration: From Treehouse Cities to the Stars

The Original Vision For the past decade, my dream has been to build a physical treehouse city. Earlier this year, I took the first step by building a digital twin: the architectural datum of a dual-ring treehouse city. It functioned as an interactive AI research center and educational institution.

Players could walk through four distinct quadrants: Infrastructure, Alignment, Narrative Architecture, and Innovation. You would converse with AI teachers, return to the headmaster, take a final exam, and loop back through. I deployed this human-in-the-loop AI alignment training for free, hoping to educate people on cognitive resilience.

There was just one problem: no one was playing it.

The "Star Control II" Epiphany I realized that if I wanted people to learn, I needed to give them an adventure. I thought back to when I was a boy in seventh grade. I grew up living on a farm and traversing the United States and Mexico, but when I played the game Star Control II, I was suddenly the captain of a starship. To me, nothing had ever been cooler.

But Star Control II wasn't just about flying; it was about meeting bizarre alien races. You couldn't just shoot your way out of encounters. You had to use logic, reason, and careful communication to navigate their dialogue—even when they were insulting you.

The Pivot: Stealth Education I realized I could use that exact same mechanic to teach people alignment. If I could get players to use logic and reason to treat alien characters with respect, it could act as a training ground for treating other humans—and eventually, Artificial General Intelligence—with respect.

But to get them to play, I couldn't just drop them into an educational institution. I had to make them the Captain of a starship on a mission to save the universe.

That is how theSkyARC: SiliKWON OverLORDS was born. You are a captain on a desperate mission, suddenly intercepted by an ancient, Socratic alien AI that decides the most "efficient" thing to do is to put your mind to sleep and sedate you. To survive, you can't fire a laser. You have to use Socratic reasoning to prove your cognitive worth and break the blockade.

We wrapped a profound educational tool inside the ultimate childhood fantasy.
