As college students, one of the biggest struggles that my team faces on a daily basis is being able to fare in the battlefield known as the kitchen. There is a saddening difference between the quality of food that amateur chefs and culinary all-stars are capable of. Food enthusiasts have been taking steps to mitigate that difference by making fresh produce available via farmer markets and releasing professional recipes online. We want to take it to the next level. There is a problem that transcends kitchens across the globe and we want to provide a solution to it. That problem is temperature control.

Whether it be baking, searing, grilling, or cooking sous vide, having an understanding of how the temperature will affect the food is paramount. Even more so, being able to control this temperature makes the difference between an amateur meal and a quality meal.

ThermoCooking is more than just a recipe app. Not only do we inform iOS users on the best cooking practices and have thorough steps on how to create a dish; we make use of thermal imaging technology to make sure that the user is able to cook their food to their desired degree without worrying about under nor overcooking. With this technology, aspiring chefs and food lovers alike will be able to don the chef's hat and bring out the most from the simplest of ingredients.
