Inspiration
India being a dense and wast country, surveillance and detection of any type of gathering are quite complex. We wanted to build up a solution that can help out officials to carry out operations on a community level.
What it does
It can detect any kind of gathering that is not required currently as well as to detect any potential patient with fever on a larger level. The system can also deliver help packages to remote areas.
How I built it
To make a drone with custom features, we manipulated the tarot 650 sports according to our usage and made up a system with long-range communication systems and on-board processing units that have CUDA cores. After that, I used some parts of my thesis for the computer vision modules which helped me in making this system instantly.
Challenges I ran into
In this lockdown, it was difficult to get various hardware components and various delays in the delivery.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I could build something that is used for the community. I'm proud of it.
What I learned
I learned various control systems algorithms and communication modules.
What's next for ThermDrone
Increase its range and endurance in order to serve it wider.
