Inspiration :
Providing medical care to people in remote or underserved areas who might not have easy access to healthcare facilities and providing rehabilitation in different medical sectors
What it does ,
theracare provides medical services to individuals in rural and remote areas , patients with chronic diseases , employers and insurance companies. patients are able to book for appointments and offer rehabilitation services to there patients based on there place of medical concern eg sport medicine and surgery
How we built it,
we were able to build an app and website which which allows a user to login and register there credentials , book appointments with the doctors and consult the doctors virtually through text. the patients are able to edit there profiles and write there medical history and update there bio the website
Challenges we ran into,
lack of enough skills to intergrade the payment services such us mpesa integration and add video calls.
Accomplishments that we're proud of;
text messaging ,adding AI assistant "AI doctor", booking appointment , updating user profile , updating logging sections , doctors updating there availability
What we learned,
integrating API services, use of Realtime database, developing better user interface UI/UX, user detail validation and error handling
What's next for TheraCare,
adding more features to make the app or website more user friendly and convenient to different users . adding different languages to the app or website will make it more convenient and adding reminder and daily checking especially for rehabilitation checking ("follow up activities).
