What inspired us to do this project?
As hard working medical students, we know the importance of a good vacation. Finding the ideal destination for a trip shouldn't be a burden or extra work, but an easy and entertaining experience!
What is it aspiring to do?
Our project helps you find your ideal vacation and destination in an interactive way! Just answer a few questions and our chatbot will help you decide!
How we built it
We built a simple chatbot program with python, that tackles the challenge in an easy and intuitive way.
Challenges we ran into
As we are not as experienced in these kinds of projects, it ended up taking quite some time deciding on a challenge, understanding the data structure and working out a way to interact with the project. We ended up running out of time in the end, but are still happy we were able to turn our little project in.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This project may not be as advanced as some of the others, but we ended up learning a lot in the process and are very happy that we tried to tackle the challenge and work on a project out of our comfort zone.
What we learned
We learned that time management is a very important aspect in doing a project with such a limited time frame! Also, as we had a lot of fun playing around with the challenges, we learned, that it's always worth it trying new things and going to events, even though the may seem a little outside "your world".
What's next for TheMedics
What's next for us? That's a good question! As our background is more in research challenges and data analysis (with ML/AI) we are going to continue working on those questions. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed to spend some time working on a more bussiness related project, so who knows maybe we'll switch specialities at some point! ;)
