Inspiration
Inspired by cmd-f falling on International Women's Day 2020, our team decided to create a platform for women by women. Our aim is to foster COMMUNICATION between our users to CONNECT and form COMMUNITIES. Drawing on our own experiences, we know how intimidating it is to enter a workforce as a minority. We want a safe space where topics such as salary negotiation, working as a mother, female representation in the workplace can be discussed comfortably.
What it does
Users sign up and create their in app business card that they can customize. The home page acts as a Top Picks page that suggests users with users that have common work experience. Users can swap business cards with others to connect and star
How I built it
We used xcode 10 with swift 4 to create our project.
Challenges I ran into
Xcode constraints were difficult to keep track of as well as dynamically creating views.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
WE DID IT (: We completed our MVP and had time to improve the UI / UX design of our app.
What I learned
Our team had little experience with swift, we were able to improve our skills and also be more familiar with xcode.
What's next for Their Card
We want users to have more customization options and we also need to implement a simple in-app messenger.
