Inspiration

The videos and talks really showed me how food security is very important for Singapore's survival, thus we were inspired to create an app to help reduce food wastage.

What it does

Allows merchants and individuals to sell their excess food by connecting people together and building a community of people passionate about protecting food security in Singapore.

How we built it

Frontend: HTML + Bootstrap Backend: Flask, sqlite

Challenges we ran into

Trouble coming up with front end design.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building an basic app and database in 10 hours.

What we learned

We learnt more about the importance of food security and how the government has taken steps to enhance our food security. We also researched more and found out about the areas which are a bit lackluster in our efforts to enhance food security.
