Inspiration
What inspired us to make this project was to from past stuggles when making our resumes at the very beginning. Here TheEliteClub will help beginners with their resumes.
What it does
TheEliteClub can build and analyze any resume put into it. It can help create a resume with for people who don't know how to first create one. Secondly, TheEliteClub can analyze a resume by itself or comparing it to a job overview to see the capability.
How we built it
We used Next.j, typescript, tailwind css, google gemini 2.5 flash, Auth0, U.S. Buraeu of Labor Statistics API, Vercel, and Domain from GoDaddy.
Challenges we ran into
Google Gemini API - API gave us a lot of trouble, then we went ot google cloud for the 300 dollar credit ad then finally it was working. BLS API - Hardest part was pulling the pulling the salary data, mapping AI detected job titles to SOC codes
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Adding Auth0 - Stayed up all night on this trying to integrate it
What we learned
How to add an Auth0 system, Vercel for the first time, Google Gemini API integration, and a bunch of new names.
What's next for TheEliteClub
Adding a paywall for cover letter or just putting a bunch of ads.
