Inspiration -

What inspires us is exploration, humanity, travel, arts and culture. In our initiatives we travel worldwide for the UN Sustainable Development Goals to create and provide solutions; and share existing solutions that are adaptable to serve all communities. While looking at solutions is important, we understood early on that Artists having a seat at the table with United Nations Member States was even more important. As Humanity, we often experience Art as a way to connect and experience what is most important to us, inspire and see us through the good and bad times in life. We also know Art has the capacity to harness collaboration between communities and spark ideas that will provide a new future to live into.

What it does

What our work does is provide SDGs 1 (No Poverty); 2 (Zero Hunger); and 3 (Health & Wellbeing) to Artists in all creative fields, while their creativity provides solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It also connects Artists with Member States, NGOs, civil society, Youth, Private Sector and Citizens to collaborate on solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of a community. This includes all creative professionals {photographers, musicians, artists, painters, sculptors, writers, singers, songwriters, storytellers, comedians, chefs (create foods for all), sports, tech, brands, advertisers, etc.}

A global citizen platform where youth utilize art to illustrate solutions to issues in their community, inspiration for their future, learning leadership and team principles and connecting with youth in other countries.

How we built it

The idea was conceived in 1998 and went through various stages. It was conceived by one of our co-founders when they participated with UNDP, NetAid and Quincy Jones for the first livestream event in 1998 to eradicate poverty. The Co-Founder's vision was to connect organizations, ngos, artists, sports, chefs, private sector, brands, tech, countries, and citizens together. Now in 2020, we use the latest online platforms to support this process ensuring solutions are activated in the areas necessary to serve the global community.

Challenges we ran into

Not enough resources.

Accomplishments that we are proud of

Conducting this model in Asia and New York. As a group we completed the model ourselves and most importantly we understand the language of Private Sector, United Nations, Member States, Creative Economy, Creative Professionals, Artists, Brands, Advertising, Tech, Citizens and more; and we understand how to speak the language of all industries so all parties are able to collaborate and create solutions together. We loved Empowering NGOs and Artists to collaborate and generate necessary funding together. And creating our artistic project providing funding to UN agencies and non-profit organizations.

What we learned

Stay true to your commitment. A solution can be adapted to serve multiple communities.

What's next for TheCreators2030 UN Arts Initiative

Creating this format in every country worldwide where no artist has to wait until someone purchases their art or be hired at a minimum salary. Continuing to Connect Artists work to the United Nations and powering the growth for Artists in the Creative Economy. Working with Youth to empower the use of art as an illustration of solutions to problems they see solvable within their communities worldwide. Developing the current podcast to incorporate more collaboration amongst youth, artists, governments, citizens, private sector and the United Nations. Provide artists with a seat in the General Assembly to be involved in the decision making process of policies for quality of life and prosperity for all. Connecting Artists with the right multistakeholders so they are able to fulfill on new, existing and older solutions that support global communities.
