For this hackathon we wanted to present a unique application to the hardware provided. Out goal was to create a gesture controlled and operated beverage dispenser. The project is meant to showcase non standard applications of the MYO hand band as well as give a glimpse of the kind of control it may provide outside the realm of application centered projects. Currently, to get a drink at a place such as a nightclub one has to scream their order to a bartender who then has to make the drink, handle payments, and then make sure the correct person gets their drink. To simplify and shorten the lengthy process we propose an automated bar tending machine. Not only is the machine easy to communicate over standard application based channels but also incorporates a unique way to communicate to the device using gestures with the help of the MYO. Although we experienced some challenges in the hardware aspect of the design, with more development and troubleshooting we believe this can be brought to a marketable product ready to be launched into the industry with great potential.
