THEA is here to improve your protection against COVID-19

We create a smooth and individualized experience to utilize both personal efforts and the aid of local policymakers. We gather information on behavior and personal risk factors. Thus we can help individuals with personalized educational guides and local authorities with up to date data to be able to adjust policies and take necessary actions. We raise awareness about the common responsibility and the roles of the public and the government to have an impact. We offer a solution to connect all the agents of intervention to stop the pandemic and minimize losses by maximizing adherence to guidelines.

The first ideas of this project were born during the MIT Hackathon on March 7th, 2020, where the team constructed the frameworks and chose the direction to help the pandemic situation. During this hackathon, we refined the core elements and prepared the pilots.

Local authorities/governments will need access to population behavior to predict risks and be able to take action to mitigate this effectively. The government and local guidance will change over time and will be critical for people to follow and adhere to, so the risk of a new wave can be subdued. The medical, economical, and political guidelines can be scattered around, making it confusing for individuals to gather, understand, and follow properly. Without the necessary information, they might unintentionally behave in a way that puts them at risk. Individuals may not realize how certain habits might influence their risk level, how affected their neighbors are, or what measures their local authorities took to help them. THEA offers an easy way to acquire important information, alter risky behavior patterns, and serve local authorities valid data about the population to take effective measures.
