Inspiration

The topic was how can allocate our resources in a better way. Carpooling is an excellent solution and example of one such problems and with our venture it also solves another problem which is faced by a lot of people. Safety of children is an issue that all parents are concerned for and even we have experienced it. This inspired us to find a combined solution to these problems and hence we came up with YOHO.

What it does

YOHO is a carpooling app for your child which ensures a trustable means to travel wherever they wish to go within your city. It has been established with the mission to reduce carbon dioxide in the air and prevent global warming.

Yoho provides job opportunities to women who have no work experience and wish to use their time constructively. All they need to have is a driver's license. Drivers at Yoho go through an extensive background check to ensure safety and security of the riders.

How we built it

We built the prototype of the app using Figma.

Challenges we ran into

We were new to Figma so it took us a little time to get around the software and get acquainted with its features and working. Also we tried our best to make an app and explain so that our ideas and portrayed and share din the best way possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

If this app comes to life, it'll solve a problem that I myself have faced due to no secure ride and have had to cancel important plans. We have built this app from a mere idea and I am proud of how far we have reached.

What we learned

We learned how to use Figma which was a new skill also while researching for the topic, we came across a lot of insightful information to include in our pitch. Moreover, we learned how to use our time and work together to produce quality work when the clock is running.

What's next for The YOHO app - carpool for students

We wish to collaborate with educational institutions, talent academies, tutors etc. so they have a reliable transportation facility for their students and also in turn promote our app. This app has a lot of potential and it will be reached a see continue to develop it.
