Inspiration
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is easy to get stressed out worrying about your loved ones, and people often forget about taking care of themselves, so we decided to create a website that helps people improve their physical and mental health specifically during these unprecedented times.
What it does
Our website has a variety of yoga, meditation, and mindful breathing exercises in our mental wellbeing section that can help people clear their head if they are stressed out. It also gives tips on how to stay healthy and safe during the pandemic while also showing everyone how to best stay fit and exercise when social distancing. In addition to keeping everyone healthy, we also want to keep readers well informed on what is happening, so there are also daily coronavirus updates available.
How we built it
We mainly used HTML and CSS to make our website.
Challenges we ran into
Nobody in our team knew much about HTML, so we had to do lots of research to see how to make a good HTML website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned how to embed the charts and graphs that shows the daily coronavirus updates.
What we learned
We learned how to use HTML to create a website and how to add images, videos and charts to it to make it look better.
What's next for The Wellness Hub
If we had more time to work on it, we would probably add more to the sections on exercising and eating a healthy diet. We are also hoping to add more to the mental wellness page as it. We could have also learned more CSS and made our website look better.
