Inspiration

Fast paced adventure games and the old Quantum Leap TV series.

What it does

An arcade game about time travel, adventures, intriguing stories and great, fast gameplay!

How I built it

We have drawn all the characters and level prototypes first, then fine-tuned until we were happy with the difficulty. From that point, we started actually implementing the game mechanics. After that a lot it was just about polish, polish and more polish.

Challenges I ran into

Illustrating the rather big number of characters and environments.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Released the game out in the wild, got to attend a cool game pitching event with it and a little under 10k downloads.

What I learned

Making a successful game requires a lot of dedication.

What's next for The Way Home

Not much currently, as we move on to other projects.
