Inspiration
Our inspiration was that we both shared a common interest in traveling! In addition, we wanted to educate others on the main places to go around the world.
What it does
Our website gives travelers tips for choosing a location and some things they should consider when choosing their type of transportation.
How we built it
We built it on Replit using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
At first, we ran into a lot of challenges since this was our first Hackathon and we did not know much about the languages. We also had some trouble inserting pictures, a lot of trouble with the syntax, and the dropdown boxes. However, after doing some research on our own and attending the workshops, we were confident and were able to make our website!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are really proud of how we got past the difficulties and were able to complete making our website!
What we learned
We learned a great deal about the languages used in the making of the website such as adding pictures, making dropdown boxes, and we finally managed to understand the syntax which was one of our main difficulties.
What's next for The Voyager's Log
Hopefully, we want to make the website a bit more attractive by addition some more color, pictures and even a browsing feature which we have not yet learned how to do. We also want to add more information on the cities and make even more sub categories for easy access to what the user wants.
