Inspiration

The Voting Game provides a new form of democracy that enables unrestricted voting and puts the people in charge, in comparison to the voting systems we are told to use in the USA Today.

What it does

TVG accomplishes this by:

Making it possible to vote at anytime from anywhere on internet browsers
Putting the people in charge of what gets voted on (via issue ranking and suggestions)
Automatically tabulating accumulated votes for every issue over appropriate timeframes
The results of the votes become the law (in the Voting Game any perhaps in the future)

This eliminates voting districts, overcomes politicians trying to limit voting, and produces true voting results for the first time in US history.

How I built it

Using Bolt AI to create a React Vite Typescript TailwindCSS, ShadyCN, and Supabase platform for data and auth for mobile/tablet/desktops

Challenges I ran into

Being new at creating web apps using AI. Coded in C then Java then Flutter, Python etc.., and am looking for expert help in developing this app. It is not complicated application and should not take long, and I will grant credit rights to anybody who helps.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Put the chips on your credit cards with HP, Visa, AT&T and 10 Global Banks in 1998. Helped architect Walmart.com to support 1 million concurrent shoppers for the first time in history. Consulted to five Fortune 10 companies over 15 years. Built 3 IT service companies and sold 1. Put myself through the Wharton School of Finance.

What I learned

At Microsoft I helped sell 54$ million dollars of MS Office to a Fortune 10 company in Atlanta. It was the largest Office sale to date and me and my partners in crime got called to MS HQ in Redmond. We figured it was to be congratulated, but when we got there my boss, GM South USA, stuffed us in a tiny room with 4 chairs. Nearly 2 hours laters my boss walked in and said, "Someone wants to talk to you" and left the room. Soon thereafter Steve Balmer came barreling into the room at 100 miles per hour and screamed this at us. "Every once in a while in every man's life thanksgiving comes around and you can't put a turkey on the table for your family. They are really pissed and staring at you because you failed, but since you live next to the Deleware River you decide to put the family in a row boat and catch fish for Thanksgiving. It is rainy and foggy and you can hardly see anything, but a hole opens up in the sky and the sun shines through, and a huge goose flies out of that hole directly at your head at a million miles per hour.

Here is the kicker Steve wanted to deliver (to we the students of big business).

"Some people duck, but other special people reach up and grab the goose and have a great Thanksgiving with their families. There was 250$ million on the table. Next time make sure you get your f...ing goose!"

And slammed the door on his way out so hard it nearly fell off the hinges.

However, in general: Listen, be kind, patient, helpful, giving, and humble.

What's next for The Voting Game

Develop and promote TVG so that people learn about it and want to use it. Gain a large enough user base to compare it against national and state elections to start by the next presidential election. Within 5-10 years gain so much support that the people begin to demand running the US this way.

Yes! It is a dream, for my children.
