nspiration
The inspiration came from classic 80s & 90s Halloween specials, campy villain anthems, and the tradition of heroes taking a back seat while the villains briefly steal the spotlight. We wanted to showcase Thondaria’s rogues gallery in a fun, theatrical, musical way — giving characters like Brohilda, Vicky Vicious, and Nina Nasty the chance to revel in their mischief. The idea was: “What if the bad guys got their own music video — and it SLAPS?” The result blends Halloween nostalgia, glam-rock energy, and Thondaria’s pulpy comic mythology.
What it does
The music video serves as both an in-universe broadcast and a standalone musical number for the Halloween special. It introduces each villain with flashy visuals, choreography, and lyric-driven personality moments. It deepens the lore by showing that Thondaria’s foes are not just obstacles — they’re characters with flair, ego, and bizarre charisma. It also creates a shareable, viral centerpiece for the special.
How we built it
The video was created using a hybrid workflow of:
Suno for music and vocals
11Labs for character voice lines, villain chants, and spooky narration
Sora 2, Google Veo 3, Luma Labs for cinematic sequences, lighting, and scene transitions
Midjourney + LTX Studio for character key art, backgrounds, palette references, and concept boards
Adobe After Effects & Premiere for timing, compositing, neon effects, grain passes, and editing
ChatGPT for scripting, villain lyrics, and narrative cohesion
Each villain had their own visual theme (neon slime, glitter skulls, shadow wings, etc.) and was animated or composited into a synchronized rhythm segment.
Challenges we ran into
Matching lip-sync across generative models was a major challenge.
Keeping villains on-model when switching between animation tools.
Maintaining one unified aesthetic while using many different AI engines.
Balancing spooky and comedic tone so the villains remained fun and not frightening for younger fans.
Timing effects to the beat required multiple editing passes and re-generations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a fully original villain anthem that fits perfectly in Thondaria’s universe.
Achieving a seamless mix of animation styles — retro comic, glam-rock music video, Halloween camp.
Giving each villain a musical identity that fans instantly recognize.
Producing a broadcast-worthy piece using a modern AI-powered pipeline.
The final video feels like a lost 1994 Halloween TV event — nostalgic, silly, and iconic.
What we learned
We learned how powerful generative tools can be when combined with traditional editing. We learned the importance of tone control — villains can be scary without losing their fun. We learned how to choreograph animated characters to music in a way that feels expressive and intentional. And we learned how fans respond strongly to stylized, character-centric musical content.
