Inspiration
I was inspired by games that let the user to make choices and to see different outcomes. The gaming community helped me strive for creativity and design. I wanted to create something fun but slightly unpredictable which led to the idea of the vending machine.
What it does
The vending machine is a choice-based interactive game, where the players are provided with decisions that lead to different endings. Each choice changes the outcome of the story which encourages the players to replay the game and explore all the endings.
How I built it
I built the game logic and its narrative by using python. I designed the User interface and interactions using Figma which allowed the game to engage and easy to follow.
Challenges I ran into
Since it was my first time using Figma, understanding how to create interactive flows and connect frames was challenging at first. I had to experiment a lot and fix mistakes along the way, but this process helped me understand how prototyping works and how design decisions affect user experience.
What we learned
From this project I have learnt the basics of interactive design using Figma and how to structure a branching story in Python.
What's next for The Vending machine
I plan to add more choices and endings to make the game feel deeper and more re-playable. I also want to improve the visual design and add smoother transitions, so the experience feels more polished.
