The Unsolved Omen

My inspiration came from the ancient Chinese mythological story The Investiture of the Gods (Fengshen Bang), which I adapted with some creative changes. I focused my research on the two central characters — Jiang Ziya and Daji — both well-known to every household in China. Jiang Ziya is human, representing righteousness, while Daji is a demon, representing evil.

In exploring their journeys, I discovered the possibility of love between them. Though the story is rooted in myth, I ultimately restored the original ending — the human slaying the demon.

The main challenges came from the AI image generation process. I primarily used Midjourney and Seedream 4, but over 90% of the generated images were unsatisfactory, so this stage required a significant amount of time and refinement.
