🪔 Inspiration The project was inspired by the underrepresentation of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in modern history education and digital platforms. Despite his unmatched valor, intellect, and sacrifice, his legacy is often overshadowed. We felt a deep need to build a platform that honors his story, preserves cultural heritage, and instills pride in the youth of Bharat. His fearless stand against tyranny, especially in the face of Aurangzeb’s cruelty, and his commitment to Dharma and Swarajya, moved us profoundly.

💡 What it does The Unshaken Legacy is a bilingual (Marathi + English) website that presents the life, principles, and legacy of Sambhaji Maharaj through: -A timeline of major life events -Character profiles (Shivaji Maharaj, Yesubai, Kavi Kalash, Aurangzeb) -Thematic storytelling on Swarajya, Dharma, Fort Culture, and more -Multimedia elements (images, maps, quotes) -Clean, responsive, mobile-first design -Inspirational messaging and call-to-action for cultural pride

🛠️ How we built it -Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap for responsive UI. -Bilingual Support: English and Marathi content side by side. -Design: Mobile-first layout with emphasis on clean UI and storytelling. -Hosting: GitHub Pages for easy deployment. -Workflow: Version control with Git, Figma for prototyping, Notion for planning. -Historical content was curated through books, academic resources, and verified documentaries.

🚧 Challenges we ran into -Historical Accuracy: Verifying facts and avoiding glorification or misrepresentation. -Bilingual Consistency: Ensuring both languages conveyed equal depth and emotion. -Design Constraints: Balancing content-heavy storytelling with performance and UI fluidity. -Time Limit: Compressing Sambhaji Maharaj’s vast legacy into an engaging, short-format platform.
