Inspiration
I was inspired to make this project/website just out of fun. After learning about this Hackathon, I decided to make a website for my project since that is the only experience I have in coding. I chose The Types of Oceans because it seemed interesting and I thought it would make a good website.
What it does
The project is just a website, but it has a lot of creativity and color and also has some advanced features, like fully functional login, signup, and contact forms.
How we built it
I built it mostly on Replit and GitHub using HTML and CSS code and some JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge I ran into was making the code work for the extremely advanced sections, such as the login and signup forms, so I had to research and use ChatGPT a bit to understand how to fix it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Some accomplishments that I am proud of are that this is my first complete website (I have made other websites before but not as advanced as this one) and that the website's features actually work really well.
What we learned
I learned more about coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and I got to improve my skills in coding in those languages.
What's next for The Types of Oceans
I hope to publish this website in the future and make it a real live website that isn't static.
