We were inspired by our experiences as women feeling unsafe travelling in different areas
What it does
It connects women to other local women to give advice and tips in an area through a forum page.
How we built it
We tried using flask, HTML, and python in order to attempt to make a forum with a login page for people to sign up to use the site.
Challenges we ran into
We had errors on our website login and databases problems where we couldn't get our user table working properly, therefore we had issues with the most of the forum part.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud of our idea for women to travel safely, since it's a thing many women experience and even though it did not come out as we wanted, we still see a lot potential in the idea
What we learned
We learned to keep trying! We never worked with Flask before learning that was a challenge.
What's next for The Travelling Women
New features like a live listen in and a google maps feature in it.
