The Problem:
suggested travel routes don’t always prioritize safety how can we use the data gathered about our cities to keep us safe, especially when women are walking alone at night?
The Idea:
The Talking Wug suggests routes based on foot traffic, store hours, density of crime in the area, and bus frequencies (future idea: add other indicators of safety).
The Name:
the wug, the unofficial mascot of the field of linguistics (which we all share as an interest) is cute and memorable!
