Star Orchard was inspired by YANSON’s track “For Daniel: Land of Wonders”, written for his little son. I wanted to honor that by creating a fairytale just for Daniel, a place that feels like a bedtime story turned into moving light. The idea of a stardust-grown orchard came from thinking about how children see the world: every star, every leaf, every small glow is already a miracle. So the orchard became a space where golden fruits are made from memories, wishes and gentle magic, and where guardians like a fairy, a fox and a unicorn quietly protect his world of wonder.

I built the piece using AI tools to design the orchard, its glowing fruits and its creatures, then shaped and animated these visuals to follow the mood and flow of the music rather than just the beat. One of the main challenges was balancing YANSON’s personal dedication to his son with my own visual style making sure it still felt like Daniel’s story, not just “my” universe. I also had to work carefully to keep the world consistent and cohesive across AI-generated scenes. Through this project, I learned how powerful it can be to create for one specific child: by focusing so deeply on Daniel’s magical little world, the piece somehow ended up resonating with many people who saw their own inner child reflected in it.
