The Square Root

Inspiration

Take the word root very literally :)

What it does

Expands your roots and grow your tree by tapping the screen! The roots themselves are a binary tree that grows nodes randomly when you tap the button. The values of the nodes are also perfect squares, which are also very rootable!

How we built it

Plenty of whiteboarding and frantically searching up tutorials when we wanted to accomplish something. Many, many, many hours of troubleshooting (our first times using react.js).

Challenges we ran into

Errors that our IDEs and chatGPT couldn't identify with us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Cute visuals and explored technologies unfamiliar to us.

What we learned

Basic react.js and the major importance of partner programming

What's next for The Square Root

Perhaps more features to make it more replayable (like cookie clicker)
