Inspiration
We wanted to make a product that helps in migrating internet users from Web2 space to Web3 since Web3 is the future of the internet. We wanted to do this by integrating a Web3 approach into a new and famous web2 application. In our case, we picked a booking platform that sells tickets in the form of NFTs. We want to revolutionize web3 by being the first web3 company that even people with no knowledege of blockchain can use easily.
What it does
We are the next-generation booking platform that uses blockchain technology to customers to give out tickets as NFTs every time a customer purchases a ticket. Users can also host their own events and generate tickets in mass for that event.
Booking:
- Like a normal booking platform, we offer booking of events such as movies, concerts, shows, etc
- Booking happens in real time for the seats in the event.
- Payment will be accepted in any form - credit card, debit card, PayPal, UPI, Netbanking, cryptocurrency transfers
- Our platform will also have various currency and language options. By default, the currency will be set to the local currency by taking location into account.
- Vouchers and coupons will be offered to users during the customer acquisition phase.
- Can be used as an application or website on phones and tablets.
- Securely manages customer data with proof of security and testing.
NFT Marketplace
- Unique Selling Point: some of the tickets booked on the booking platform will be collectible NFTs that offer rewards
- These same NFTs can be bought or sold on the Marketplace page
- Blog feature enables people to get introduced to the platform and to crypto as a whole.
How we built it
Design: Figma Frontend: Nextjs, Tailwind CSS, Web3js Backend: Hardhat, IPFS Blockchain: Spheron, Solidity, Matic, ERC1155
Challenges we ran into
- It was difficult to upload multiple json files into the IPFS
- It was also difficult to erase data and figure out the correct format to store the information regarding the tickets securely
- We also had to find ways to copy the old IPFS data of the tickets into the new one
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- The designs turned out very clean and better than expected. Upon implementation with Nextjs, the frontend became even better.
- This is our second project and still, we were able to pull it off together.
What we learned
- Following a well-defined structure for designing a brand kit or understanding software is key to more efficient productivity.
- Animations using Nextjs can be very powerful and are easy to use once mastered.
- We learnt a lot of new things about every technology that we used in the project.
What's next for The Snap Fuel
We want to make an MVP so that we can launch The Snap Fuel by the end of this year. We want to start the revolution right away.
