Inspiration
The SkitSoft Smart Garden Solution finds its inspiration in the urgent need to bridge the gap between technology and nature in an increasingly urbanized world. Witnessing the gradual disappearance of green spaces due to urbanization, we were driven by a vision to empower individuals and organizations to reconnect with nature. Our motivation stemmed from the growing demands of urban living, the imperative of sustainable agriculture, and the opportunity to elevate the ambiance of sports venues. This project was initiated with the goal of creating a versatile solution that not only caters to diverse needs but also champions environmental sustainability.
What it does
The SkitSoft Smart Garden Solution is a versatile platform designed to empower greenery across various settings:
Gardens: It offers precise control over garden care with three modes – Device-Controlled, Time-Based, and Full Automatic – allowing users to nurture greenery, whether it's a small balcony garden or an extensive backyard oasis.
Stadiums: The solution enhances the aesthetics of sports venues by employing a Full Automatic mode that relies on sensor-driven data and cloud-powered insights to maintain lush lawns and vibrant flora, thereby enhancing the overall spectator experience.
Farms: In the realm of agriculture, it optimizes irrigation schedules and practices, maximizing crop yield while minimizing water wastage. This is facilitated by real-time data and cloud-connected insights, promoting eco-conscious farming practices.
How we built it
The development of the SkitSoft Smart Garden Solution was a meticulously executed process involving the integration of cutting-edge technologies:
Hardware: We engineered a range of hardware devices, including sensors and arduino micro controllers, to interface with greenery, capturing data on soil moisture, Temperature , and humidity.
Software: Our software ecosystem encompasses mobile and web applications, powered by hiveMQtt advanced machine learning algorithms and cloud infrastructure. These applications provide user-friendly interfaces for gardeners, stadium managers, and farmers to control and monitor their landscapes.
Data Analytics: We integrated data analytics to offer valuable insights into plant health, water usage, and energy efficiency, enabling informed decision-making in green space management.
