About The Shed

The Shed is a short film about a masked serial killer who comes face to face with his own demons, as the innocent women he killed, come back to taunt him in his dreams.

How we built it

The project took 18 hours. I used Gemini 2.5 Google AI Studio to create a shot studio application, that allows me to make edits and changes to an image. The short film was dependent on image to video, so I had to get my shots accurate, so they look consistent. I have been using Veo 3.1 and a few shots were generated with Kling AI 2.1. Imagen4 (imagefx) was used to generate the specific shots and for the sounds I used Epidemic Sounds as requested.

The Problems we Faced

I actually wanted to post the short film for the AI Horror short film competition, but since the deadline was 16th October 2025, I had passed that already and knew I wouldn't be eligible. Th reason I was late to post the film, was because I had fallen ill and wasn't in the right mindset to perfect the short film even more. I did what I could and hope to do better in my upcoming shorts films.

Accomplishments

I am proud that I managed to complete the short film after watching hours and hours of Netflix crime documentaries, which pushed me more to create such a slasher theme.

What we learned

I learnt that I need to stay updated with the latest tools and accessories that would help me manage my project and finish it in time.

What's next for The Shed

The Shed is just my own story I had thought off, and I wanted to make it short but scary at the same time. The film tells us whatever we do bad in this world to somebody, karma will come get us in any shape or form.
