Inspiration
lots of people die to natural disaster and the best thing to help with surviving is knowing what to do in the different situations
What it does
The web app takes your location and gives different situations so you can know what to do during then disaster. We use the AI to give in-depth and human-like descriptions and information about how best to minimize risk in an emergency situation. It also caters the information to individual users based on their locations as a means of assisting users in building an action plan in the event of a disaster.
How we built it
Java script with react for the web app. We used Gemini as the API to give more information Challenges we ran into: implementing the AI, getting google map lookups to work, and getting the web page to work
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
getting all of the above things working and getting more information out of the AI for the user
What we learned
How to implement an LLM into a program and use it to build a web app from the ground up (Also using React.js) We also learned how to use the Google Maps API to specialize generated content to the individual user. What's next for The Safety Blueprint better google map tracking, better UI, more disasters and better explanations.
