Inspiration: The Rutgers Buses are a nice way of getting from one campus to another except for when it is during peak hours or the bus starts to run late and you have a class. From personal experience, taking a crowded Rutgers bus isn't the best feeling hence the experience.

What it does: Simulates taking a Rutgers bus during peak hours while trying to reach your class in a timely manner while trying to get a seat on the bus before it fills up and time runs out.

How we built it: Coded in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and used the aid of Gemini to help with difficult parts and worked together to debug the issues and had half the team working on map design and character design.

Challenges we ran into: Map design, merging and collaborating in GitHub, managing the collision physics, deciding how hard to make the game difficulty, and debugging the nearly 1000+ lines of code involved in making this game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Coding a 2d game in one day without having previously coded games. Also learning new coding practices and how to maintain long lines of code and, efficently hunt for bugs, and how to collaborate more effectively as a group of coders.

What we learned: Learned how to neatly manage many lines of code and make sure it is not all in one messy file and instead seperated into multiple smaller files for better readability and organization. Also learned how to collaborate on GitHub and push and pull on it.

What's next for The RU Bus Experience: Add more features such as additional cut scnenes and dialogues and better develop the layout of the maps and add more game modes.
