A job application website designed for, women and people of other gender identities, free from discrimination.

Inspiration

The project was inspired by hearing stories about qualified women who went for interviews but were openly told they were too old or not "attractive enough" or inexperienced to be considered for the position. Experiences like this can be traumatizing and can negatively impact someone's career.

What it does

The Rose Index is a job application platform that is discrimination-free. Only companies that pledge to not discriminate based on factors like age, gender, and sexuality are allowed to receive applications. Potential employees can create an account, make an application, select their job category, and view different jobs.

How we built it

We mostly used HTML, CSS, and JS, as well as firebase for the authorization.
